There are days when skin just feels a bit weighed down—like it needs a proper reset rather than another quick cleanse. That’s usually when clay masks come into my routine.
I don’t reach for them every day, but when I do, I want that clean, clarified feeling without ending up tight or uncomfortable afterward.
Recently, two clay masks have stood out in very different ways, each giving that “fresh start” sensation in its own style.

1. Natura Bissé Stabilizing Cleansing Mask

This one feels like the more refined, spa-like option in my collection. It has that luxurious texture that makes the whole routine feel slower and more intentional. What I appreciate most is how it manages to absorb excess oil while still keeping the skin feeling comfortable afterward. There’s none of that overly dry, stripped feeling that some clay masks leave behind. Instead, it gives a balanced finish—clean, but still calm.

2. Innisfree Super Volcanic Pore Clay Mask

This one is more of a reliable go-to when things feel a bit more clogged or oily than usual. It has a straightforward, no-nonsense approach to cleansing the skin. The volcanic clay texture works through excess oil and buildup, leaving the surface feeling smoother and more refined after rinsing. What I like is that it still feels gentle enough for regular use, especially if the skin is going through a congested phase.
Both masks bring that satisfying “reset button” effect, just in different moods. One leans more luxurious and calming, while the other feels practical and deeply purifying. It really depends on what the skin is asking for that day—something soothing and balanced, or something that goes straight to clearing things out.
