Double cleansing has genuinely changed the way my skin behaves, especially at the end of a long day. I used to think cleansing was just about removing makeup quickly, but now I realize the first step matters a lot.
The right cleansing oil can make skin feel clean without stripping it, and that difference is something I really notice. These are two cleansing oils I keep reaching for lately because they simply work for my routine.

1. iUNIK Calendula Complete Cleansing Oil

This one feels very calming on the skin, almost like it’s made for days when my skin is acting sensitive or a bit irritated. It melts makeup and sunscreen easily without me needing to rub too much, which already makes it feel gentle. I like that it doesn’t leave any heavy film afterward, just a clean and soft finish.
The calendula gives it a soothing touch that makes cleansing feel less harsh and more like skincare. Whenever my skin feels unpredictable, this is the one I trust the most.

2. The Face Shop Rice Water Bright Cleansing Oil

This cleansing oil feels lighter in texture compared to many others I’ve tried, and it spreads across the skin very easily. It breaks down makeup quickly and rinses off without that greasy feeling I sometimes get from richer oils. After using it, my skin feels clean but still comfortable, not tight or dry. There’s also a subtle fresh scent that makes the whole cleansing step feel a bit more enjoyable.
Between the two, I find myself switching depending on what my skin needs rather than choosing just one favorite. iUNIK feels more comforting and skin-soothing, especially on sensitive days, while The Face Shop version feels lighter and more refreshing for everyday use.
Both do a great job at removing makeup without damaging my skin barrier, which is the most important part for me now. At this point, double cleansing doesn’t feel like a chore anymore—it actually feels like a small self-care moment I look forward to.
